The Wes Smith Variety ShYo Episode #11 w/ Special Guest Alex Dias (Sychosis) [Part 2 of 2]

The Variety ShYo is based in San Diego, CA. I talk with real people, about real things, in real time, with no edits.

Episode #11 includes special guest Alex Diaz from San Francisco. SYCHOSIS aka Alexander Dias has been involved in music from a very young age. Trained classically he toured Europe and North America as part of a boys choir from the ages of 11 to 17. He has spent more then a decade as a part of San Francisco’s thriving Electronic Music scene. In the last few years he has seen a steady rise as his music has caught the attention of the likes of Stanton Warriors, The Crystal Method, Reid Speed, Wuki and Marten Hørger. He has also received press from The Nest HQ, This Song Slaps and Discobelle. As a writer for Insomniac.com, the editorial arm of the massive event production company, he heads up coverage for the Discovery Project. He has also interviewed the likes of Motez, Kidnap Kid and Gorgon City.

EDMBiz Las Vegas Recap, We Made It Back Alive;)

My buddy Rob Annalyze, Erica, Collin and I recently hit up the EDM Biz Conference in Las Vegas during June.  We had 3 days of shenanigans including a whole lotta TTR Gaming at our exhibit which was sponsored by Juice Recordings and Jamvana.

In addition to that, a bunch of great food and good times at parties all week were had….and of course, it was strictly business;)  We met and heard from all sorts of fun people including Frankie Bones, Tommie Sunshine, Swedish Egil, Junkie XL and even Paul Okenfold’s Perfecto Mundo Tequila crew.  Check out a few photos and some event info in case you want to make it out next round.

From the Event Promoter: “Our business is an extension of our dynamic culture—innovative, influential, and fueled by community. Like our festivals, the EDMbiz experience is defined by moments, from thought-provoking panels and discussions to chance meetings. We meet, we listen, we talk, and at night, we dance”.
