Juice Day Out 03: Beachside Burnøut

Numero tres is here.  Scrape yourself off the floor from this amazing weekend of music in San Diego and join us for a low end afternoon of house & breaks in Pacific Beach, CA.   Event details below:

Special Note: This one is $10 as our good pal and global producer Marten Hørger will be joining us on the tail end of his upcoming US tour. Google him and his band Smash HiFi for awesome things;)

About: Juice Day Out brings together San Diego’s finest national, regional & local DJs for some daytime dancing and social shenanigans. Come boogie down with us;)

Deejays: Cole Vassallo, Evlo and Wes Smith anchor the party with guests. We feature locals (and occasionally an international passer by) that are active, creative, hard working, passionate and great at what they do.

Hosts: Juice is an electronic dance music brand based out of Pacific Beach in sunny San Diego, CA. Wes Smith is a creative, spends far to much time at the Ableton water cooler, and attempts to make sense of all the bouncing balls.

Sound: Hi-fidelity sound by Bomb Shelta. These kids put the bump in the trunk.

Venue: Pueblo PB. We have sound on the bottom floor, and you can roam around the outdoor patio and rooftop. They have crafty bar service, coastal Mexican cuisine, and a wicked spot to watch the sun go down.

Magic Carpet Ride by Wes Smith

Hi friends….my third studio album, Magic Carpet Ride, is on the loose.  Albums are always special to me because unlike a club banger or EP of singles, an album is a cohesive collection of work that flows from end to end (and meant to be listened to that way) around a fun idea.

Like my previous two albums, there’s a lot of ghetto funk and hip hop influence wrapped up with an arsenal of current EDM and Bass heavy sounds.  So kick back in your favorite lawn chair, bust it out buy the pool, or put it on repeat for that road trip…most of all, have fun.  Oh, and thanks for all your support over the years;)

Official label blurb as well as the Promo Mix, The Armory Mix, and Other fun stuff here [Link]!

Magic Carpet Ride is a journey through the vast ocean of influences that have shaped Wes Smith’s party rockin’ audio landscape.  I’m Trippin’ kicks off the ride with a taste of Summertime funk.  Yabadabbadoo and Rock the Jam continue the low end hustle and drop you off at the upbeat vocals of Body Move.  All About The Funk and Feels Good bring the four to the floor vibes pushing you squarely into the breakbeat rhythms on Back Again.  Before you surface, the ragga vibe on Murdera sends you on one more deep dive before blazing out on Down Town.
