Juice Night Out at Electric Love Festival, July 28-31st, 2017 (BC Canada)

Yes, headed to visit our Northern neighbors and sound off at the first official Juice Night Out session.  DJ ShOOey, Groundskore and yours truly will be kicking off the Nest stage on Friday night and sending you into ELF orbit for the stellar weekend line up.  Here’s a little official 411 on all of us;)

Wes Smith is a DJ and Producer based out of San Diego, CA. His floor filling single “Bring Back That Funk” camped out at the Beatport Breaks #1 spot for more than 30 days and nearly 150 days in the top 10. His DJ mixes and music are featured on top podcasts, radio shows and labels. His main floor live sets run the genre game with funk fueled beats, bass and vocals. Wes is the Juice Recordings label boss, chief sticker bomber and creative force behind The Juice Squad.

ShOOey discovered her love for house music in the Chicago club scene in 1997 but it wasn’t until she moved to San Francisco in 2003, where she learned the art of DJ’ing and the beauty of moving and shaping a dance floor. ShOOey is a prominent member of the SF-based Space Cowboys music collective, where you can hear her body-rocking breaks and house sets. With a massive following on the playa and beyond, ShOOey is known for the infectious energy that she brings to the dance floor!

Hailing from Vernon BC, GroundsKore never fails to bring those funky fresh breaks to the tables and get that dance floor bouncing. Thus far he’s dropped two charting releases on two different labels (Bassbong Records; Juice Electronica) and has his second release on Juice Electronica dropping in the near future. Also a resident DJ of the BC interior’s ‘hi, society music festival’ among many others he makes his rounds to, GroundsKore has been keeping himself pretty busy, and has a lot more in store for the future.

THE ARTISTS:

[DUBLOADZ] {DUBSTEP}
-|Disciple | Smog | Never Say Die | Rottun | I Am Audio|-

Dubloadz has been a rapidly rising star over the last 2 years, having come out of nowhere to really carve out a niche for his trademark wobbly sound.

Often credited as one of the key artists in turning around the more underground side of Dubstep, Dave Nardolilli has seen a lot of support from key players such as Skrillex, Excision, Datsik, 12th Planet and more, as well as being snapped up by Disciple Recordings along the way.

With collaborations with Trampa, Virtual Riot, and 50 Carrot, remixes for Dodge & Fuski and 12th Planet, and a string of sold out show across North America already under his belt, the pace is building quickly for the LA-based producer. With tours across Australia and New Zealand kicking off 2016, Dubloadz is just starting to come into his element.

[ARCHNEMISIS] {LIVE GLITCH HOP}
|-ARCHNEMESIS MUSIC-|

Since its inception in 2009, the Archnemesis sound has been in a constant state of evolution. With musical beginnings firmly established through a strict regimen of classical training on the cello and piano, eventually jazz theory and composition crept in, and more instruments like bass, drums and guitar were discovered and learned. The culmination of this vast musical knowledge ultimately shaped the Archnemesis sound before propelling it through a variety of analog stratospheres and into the digital realm of electronic music production. With a sound based primarily in, but not limited to, “electro hip-hop soul”, Archnemesis continues to evolve musically and socially by encompassing all styles and genres of music while simultaneously welcoming in all the fans that follow those genres.

Through extensive national touring, Archnemesis has created a steadily growing fan base aptly dubbed the “Nemesis Army”, and strives to create an un-biased community both online and at live shows where anyone can express themselves without discrimination. Also, by using music as a platform for outreach, Archnemesis is constantly generating new and innovative ideas to foster a community and encourage change.

When not touring, Archnemesis has managed to compile an extensive catalogue of EP’s, LP’s remixes and collaborations. Beginning with the 2010 release of the EP Diamonds and Glass, the full-length albums People’s Radio and Every Man For Himself were both well received by fans and critics alike. The remixes of Kendrick Lamar’s “Backseat Freestyle” and The xx’s “Do You Mind” both charted on The Hype Machine and saw extensive play from DJ’s across the country. A fourth EP, Follow Me, was released in July of 2013, and it took an even bigger step towards truly defining the Archnemesis sound.

With an unequaled afro and amazing light show, every Archnemesis encounter is a full sensory experience, one that is highly charged and delicious. This energetic live approach has been brought to such acclaimed festivals as The Hangout Music Festival, Lights All Night, Camp Bisco, Electric Forest and SnowGlobe, as well as theatres and clubs across the country. With momentum building and no signs of slowing down, Archnemesis continues to create an amazing live experience at clubs and festivals while steadily growing the ever-faithful “Nemesis Army” and working towards positive change.
